One question we are commonly asked is what is the difference between 1% and 2% oxide asphalt colouring?
Basically, the higher the oxide level, the more the colouring will lighten over time, as can be seen in the below example asphalt driveways and crossovers.
Both the 1% and 2% oxide asphalt colours appear similar initially, with the 2% oxide having a slightly lighter hue.
For example, here is a new 2% oxide asphalt parallel parking bay:

Over time, the lightness of the 2% oxide asphalt becomes more pronounced. The 1% oxide asphalt will also lighten over time, though not as much:
